Areas of Focus
in person in Cumming and Sandy Springs and Telehealth throughout Georgia
You can value the life you have built and still want to experience it differently.
Perhaps you want more confidence in your own judgment, greater ease in your relationships, or a less complicated relationship with achievement, food, or your body. Therapy offers room to understand what has shaped these parts of your life and to consider what you want from them now.
The areas below describe some of the places that work may begin. They often overlap, and none of them is meant to define you.
Trauma and PTSD
Sometimes the past shows up before you recognize it—in what you brace for, what you avoid, or the speed of a reaction that does not quite fit the moment. Making that connection can create more room between what happened then and how you want to live now.
Eating disorders and body image
If food or your body occupies more of your inner life than you want it to, another set of rules is rarely the answer. The more useful question is what the rules, rituals, or pursuit of a certain body have come to do for you.
ADHD is not only about distraction. It can mean using enormous effort to stay organized, waiting for pressure to make action possible, or wondering why things that look simple for other people feel so difficult. Perfectionism often grows right alongside it.
Narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationships
After enough criticism, contradiction, or manipulation, you may begin to question your own memory and judgment. Therapy can help you see the relationship more clearly and begin trusting what you know again.
Young people are more likely to talk when they know they will be taken seriously. Therapy gives adolescents room to sort through school pressure, family conflict, anxiety, ADHD, identity, or eating concerns without making them feel examined or managed.
