Therapy in Sandy Springs, Georgia

Some people come here while everything still looks orderly from the outside, carrying something private that has slowly narrowed the rest of life around it. Others come when that arrangement has stopped working and waiting is no longer possible. Neither is further along than the other.

I provide individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as extended trauma sessions, for teens and adults at my Sandy Springs office.

Eating disorders and body image

Problems with food are rarely only about food. Restriction may create order or numbness. Binge eating may interrupt an intolerable emotional state. Rules about eating or weight may supply certainty when other parts of life feel unmanageable.

I work with anorexia nervosa, ARFID, binge eating, restriction, body-image concerns, and patterns of eating that have become secretive, rigid, or consuming. Therapy may include practical behavioral work, CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, somatic attention, breathwork, and coordination with other treatment providers when appropriate.

Trauma and the rest of the work

I also see adults for trauma and PTSD, ADHD and perfectionism, and recovery from emotionally abusive and narcissistic relationships. Extended sessions are available where trauma work calls for more time than a standard hour allows.
