in person in Cumming and Sandy Springs and Telehealth throughout Georgia

“Care here isn’t a fixed protocol. It’s shaped around what’s actually happening in your life.”
— Mary Elizabeth Burns, LPC

My Approach

My work draws on CBT, DBT, mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic practices. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, sessions address both the immediate concern and the patterns underneath it, combining structured talk therapy with body-based techniques as needed.

Where to Start

Trauma & PTSD: recovery from single-event or long-term trauma, including the nervous system patterns that outlast the event itself.

Eating Disorders & Body Image: disordered eating, restriction, bingeing and the shame that tends to surround them.

ADHD & Perfectionism: procrastination, overwhelm, and the exhausting standards that come with them.

Narcissistic Abuse Recovery: rebuilding self-trust after an emotionally abusive relationship, family or workplace.

Teen Therapy: adolescents 11+ working through school stress, identity and family conflict.
